Gus Hansen experienced an amazing year on the World Poker Tour where he was the only gambler to make it to the last table in 3 of the competitions. Gus Hansen has appeared on High Stakes Poker on The Game Show Network where he paid $400, 000 to play. You might remember one of the largest pots in big stakes poker history against Daniel Negreanu. He raked in a massive pot with quads against Negreanu’s full house. Hansen has made many televised poker appearances and is deemed to be one of the strongest gamblers in the world. While betting on web poker, another side of Hansen has appeared. He regularly competes in the 200/400 NL max buy-in of $40, 000. Gus usually buys-in for the minimum of Sixteen Thousand dollars and plays very poorly. He waits for a good hand and then goes all-in. I accept that Hansen is an excellent poker player but certainly not even close to the regular players at 200/400no limit. Unless Gus is flat broke, he has no reason to settle at the game with the min buy-in.

Buying in for the min takes almost all of the expertise out of deep stack poker. Gus is accepted to be 1 of the greatest poker players anywhere in the world but he cannot buy-in for the full amount. I believe tv can alter our view of the real world every now and then. The best players anywhere in the world could be players you have won’t have heard about. Gus can be found betting on web poker on Full Tilt. He normally participates in big stakes omaha eight-or-better and texas holdem. Gus has shown himself as a tournament player. Can he back up his talents in money games?
