Gus Hansen experienced a marvelous year on the World Poker Tour where he was the only player to make it to the closing table in three of the events. Gus Hansen has been seen on High Stakes Poker on GSN where he bought into the game for $400, 000. You might remember one of the largest pots in high stakes poker recorded history against Daniel Negreanu. He raked in a huge pot with quads against Daniel’s full house. Gus has earned many tv poker appearances and is considered to be one of the greatest enthusiasts in the world. While participating in internet poker, a different side of Hansen has emerged. Gus frequently plays in the 200/400 No Limit max buy-in of Forty Thousand dollars. Hansen generally buys in for the min of $16, 000 and gambles very weak. He waits patiently for a good hand and then goes all-in. I accept that Hansen is a great poker player but certainly not even close to the everyday players at 200/400no limit. Unless Gus is bankrupt, he has no reason to settle at the game with the minimum buy-in.

Buying in for the min takes a majority of the ability out of big stack poker. Hansen is accepted to be one of the best poker players anywhere in the world but he can’t buy-in for the full amt.. I believe tv can alter our perception of the real world at times. The greatest poker players anywhere in the world could be guys you have will not have heard of before. Gus can be seen participating in net poker on Full Tilt. He commonly competes in big stakes Omaha and texas holdem. Gus has shown himself as a tournament player. Can he use his skills in money games?
