Since the Party Poker collapse last fall, Poker Stars has come forth as the undeniable head in absolute quantities of internet poker players. They have the biggest tournaments, the most active tables, the largest money games, and the quickest filling sit down and go tournaments on the net. With that comes strength – the strength to select your associates, affiliates, and closer to our point; suitable computer software.

Long have I been advocating Holdem Hawk and Hold em Pirate (they are actually the same) poker calculators as simple to use and visibly attractive poker calculators. Recently though, these solutions have pushed the boundaries of acceptable use, a minimum of inside the view of Poker Stars, and therefore have been restricted from use on that internet site. This is sad news, as a decent product, not unlike several of the appropriate software allowed by Stars, is now virtually grounded because the largest poker internet site on the planet thinks it is too closely connected to an Operative Poker Calculator.

An Operative Poker Calculator is just like a secret agent working for you, gathering and mining player data that you can use on them down the line. The factor is, you don’t need to be at the table for this to happen. The computer software (database) is working all the time for you. For most poker internet sites, that is over the line of justness, just as in real life as well.

Except Holdem Pirate and Holdem Hawk are really Empirical Poker Calculators, just the same as Holdem Indicator is. These kinds of poker calculators only collect details on your opponents when you are at the table, just like you were wagering in a live scenario.

So why the Poker Stars Smack? Here is an actual forewarning I got from Poker Stars although running Hold em Pirate:

Upon an overview of your account, we find that you might be running an external application knownas Poker Sherlock, or its associated programs, Poker Edge, PokerBotPro, Holdem Hawk and Hold em Pirate……PokerStars shall be permitted to take such action as it sees fit, such as immediately blocking access to the Games to such User, closing such User’s account with PokerStars and appropriating all money held in the relevant Poker Stars "real money account".

Hey, did you notice the "appropriating all money" line? That is what you are able to do whenever you are this massive!

The "related applications" is the origin of the trouble. The organization that created Hawk and Pirate also produce Poker Edge and PokerBotPro, which are data miners. Actually, I think that Stars thinks Hawk and Pirate in fact gather data for these associated programs, although looking like an Empirical Poker Calculator on the surface.

So therein sits the core of the issue. Should you occur to play on Stars and have Hawk or Pirate, you might be out of luck, as I have tried to change this ruling. I got a considerate response from the staff at Poker Stars, but genuinely, it isn’t likely to alter. The excellent news though is that Holdem Indicator has been added to Poker Stars acceptable software checklist, and it’s the only empirical calculator to be approved by them.
