Annie Duke might not have attained her first World Series of Poker Bracelet until two thousand and four but she remains one of the most feared poker competitors around the ring matches at The Bellagio in Vegas. Annie’s long-overdue WSOP bracelet came with success at the "forgotten game" of Omaha Hi-Lo.

While competitors from the "younger generation" of poker go berserk after a huge win at the tables, Annie heads home to be "mom" to her four kids. She hails from New Hampshire and grew up in a family of poker players. If you don’t accept that, check out her brother, Howard Lederer, when he plays, Howard taught her how to play the game.

However, Annie Duke is no small-potatoes girl and has won her cut of difficult games, including knocking out Howard a few times on several occasions.

Winning over 3 million dollars in tournament action, Annie became a advisor to both UltimateBet.com and Hollywood actor Ben Affleck, who wanted to build up his abilities to become a force in poker.

You may notice her at the Bellagio, you’ll catch her on the television and you may even compete with her in a web-based poker match, but do not count on a simple win. Unless you are a up and coming master, you won’t defeat her. However, it would be fun to say you played at the same table as "The Duke".
